Wondercabinet has worked with the Boston National Historical Park on several projects at the Charlestown Navy Yard, where the National Park Service manages 30 acres of the historic yard as a living museum of the Navy’s activities.
We redesigned and refurbished the existing Serving the Fleet exhibit for a new Visitor Center. In addition to new graphics interpreting the history of the Navy Yard, we created new audio programs, photo murals and hands-on interactives.
Interpretive exhibits help orient visitors to other attractions at the Navy Yard and to other sites on the Freedom Trail, such as the USS Constitution and the Bunker Hill Museum.
Wondercabinet also created an exhibit plan and space allocation assessment for the Navy Yard’s historic ropewalk building, to facilitate the building’s future development.
